Patrick earned a B.A. in Education from Houston Tillotson College in 1979. He has devoted the last 27 years to food services and has been employed by Sodexho since 2004. Before joining our team, Patrick served as the General Manager of Dining Services at South Carolina State University. He and his wife have been married 28 years, and they have two daughters.
Executive Chef, Brian Berry
Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude and obtained an A.O.C. in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island in 1993. He has prepared meals at distinguished events such as the Washington D.C. Mardi Gras Ball and the P.G.A. Tour – New Orleans, Louisiana. He was recently named “2005 Chef of the Year” by the Acadiana Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. He has been the Executive Chef for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since 2002. Brian has been married for 13 years and has two daughters, Caitlyn and Eleanor.
Retail Operations Manager, Debra Johnson
Debra joined the Sodexho team at UL Lafayette in August 2006. She is a native of Baton Rouge, LA and has more than 20 years of food service experience. Before joining our team, Debra served as the general manager of Wendy's International in Baton Rouge.

Retail Operations Manager, Patrick Gabriel
Patrick earned an A.A. degree in Culinary Arts from Louisiana Technical College in 2000. He has been a resident of Louisiana for 37 years and has been a member of the Sodexho team since September 2002. Over the years, Patrick has entered into several culinary competitions where he has won awards in categories such as soup and dessert.
Catering Manager, Laura Melton
Laura graduated with a B.S. degree from Nicholls State in 1995. She has been employed with Sodexho Campus Services for 10 years, and she has been part of the UL Lafayette Sodexho team since 2003. Before she joined our team, Laura was the Catering Manager at Nicholls State for 6 years.
Office Coordinator, Brenda Fuselier
Brenda has managed the Food Services office since 1979 and has been part of the Sodexho team since its instatement in 1988. She has lived in Louisiana for 38 years. Brenda and her husband of 17 years have two children, Bethany and Tyler.
Administrative Assistant, Shari Ellis
Shari graduated with an A.A. degree from the Delta School of Business in 1980. She has lived in Louisiana for 34 years and is married with three children. She has been a part of the Sodexho team for 11 years. In her spare time, Shari enjoys motorcycling and playing the piano. |
